All for the love of locks

If you haven’t noticed, Arianna hair has grown a fair bit. I guess for most of the time, I tie it up coz it’s summer now and honestly, although it’s HER hair, I get all ‘rimas’ [a loose Malaysian term for uncomfortable] because her hair is all over her face and in her face and omg, it just drives me nuts! It’s no help that Ted is always at me to leave her hair down. I know she’s got nice curls and I like them lots too but certainly not in this weather, I will not. Perhaps come the cooler weather, I can just tie up the front bit which is causing the most irritation to me. :P
Sadly, with those curls comes lots of tangles. :( Yes, and as much as I hate having to comb her hair, I have to otherwise it will get worst over time. I keep forgetting to get that de-tangler solution which is formulated for kids hair until today. I knew I married Ted for a reason. :P He remembered to get it while he was out and it has been God-sent I tell you!!! It’s an organic based one which is great and apparent is a brand that is quite exposed in the world of kids with tangled hair. And it is a wonder!!! O, wait a minute, did I already say that? :P Well, I just had to say it again.
Being a hot day today, we had the kids out on the balcony in buckets of cool water and after about 1 hour, brought them in to have a bath and I washed Arianna’s hair. Immediately after, I dried her hair and gave the spray a go and omg, tangle-free!!! No more whinging and whining from the little miss…thank you God!
Anyway, this just reminded me of the time when I was growing up and had all this skin issues and I was always getting stuff to help cure them. Anything would do and if it worked on someone, I’d give it a go. I should have realised that I should have gone with a exposed acne solution rather than to try everything on the shelf. But thankfully, those days are behind me. I sometimes wonder and I really do hope with all my might that the girls do not inherit this awful skin gene for me.
I would not wish it on anyone at all, especially my girls. *Fingers, eyes and toes crossed*

Don’t forget Daddy OSO got a brush, rather than a comb, to help with the detangling.
