#1. SAHM for about 4 months - routine was wake up at about 10:30 - 11 am, grab brunch, watch some Oprah on Tv, go shopping, go home or sometimes go pick daddy up, have dinner, sleep.. pretty much that was it! :p
#2. Started working after the confinement month, but becoz I work for myself at a retail shop, we have a room at the back for the kids. So.. I get to see them all the time anyway. Definitely won't be able to do what I did with #1, with #2 around.. know what I mean ? Why do you think I've move back here!!! For Maid Sake! hahaha

aiyah...lazy to put a post on it but our routine really looks quite simple and we started from the time she slept thru the night which was around 6- 7 weeks old. a day in our life looks somewhat like this, this is just the part concerning the baby.

8am - baby wake up, frank give her a bottle before going to work
8.30am - put baby back in crib and she has a little more sleep while i hv more sleep.
9.30am - i wake up, hv shower, hv my breakfast.
10.30am - ready stuff to make for lunch, if leftovers, its faster, if not, its about 1 hour to prepare lunch
11am - baby wake up, give her another bottle.
11.30am - play with her, start doing lunch
12pm - frank comes home for lunch, frank plays with her while i clean up.
1pm - frank goes back to work, i give bb her lunch.
2pm - bb down for another nap while i spend time blogging or watch TV.
3pm - bb wake up, give her a bottle.
3.30pm - play with bb and ready stuff for dinner.
5pm - TV time, frank comes home. frank and bb goes for a walk while i stay home make dinner or sometimes i go out with them.
6.30pm- dinner and give bb her dinner.
7pm - frank clean up and take over taking care of bb, i rest for a while.
8pm - frank gives bb a bath and me clean house a bit or watch tv.
9pm - frank gives bb a bottle and put her to bed while i spend time chatting with my mummy on internet.
after 9 or 9.30pm is our time, we get to spend it however we want.

so it's not really hard leh. and this is on a good day, on a busy day, we hv to schedule dr's appt or playdate (which dont happen very often in Nunavut).

we dont hv a routine when we travel though we try to hv somewhat a routine. right now, i try to schedule my outings during her most alert hours and not clash with nap times. and on top of the schedule we hv, i try to fit in walks to the parks, playdates, mall trips and grocery shopping in the mix.

at first i thought i can't do it but after a while, it's so easy, i find we work well with a routine since i know what to expect and she probably know what to expect too which makes everythng a lot simpler and easier.

hey, what a coincidence. i just had a post on roughly the same topic. i tend to agree with lilian. for the first few months, your life is your baby. it's double the stress for us who live away from home.

Hehe.. my advice is when your kecik is sleeping, just take some nap with her too, at least u can rest. If not you will be really tired, ya, you might say that when kecik is awake u can't do anything and have to wait for her to sleep first right? But by the time after u finish doing your thing and ready to go to take some nap, that time kecik might wake up oledi, so u don't have rest time at all. Don't expect that at night u can sleep well too. Unless your kecik doesn't wake up at night at all, and that must be really lucky for you.
