Last week, we finally managed to find the time to make a trip to KR’s potential daycare centre. She has been bugging us to send her and so this was it. It was her first trip to see the place. It’s just down the road from our unit so it’s walking distance. Ted booked in an ‘interview’ for today but when he told me about the INTERVIEW, I was so surprised!
Can’t believe a 3 year old has to attend an interview for a spot at daycare – I thought it was rather shocking, really. But apparently today when Ted took her there, it was more of registering and submitting forms and getting a closer look the centre. According to Ted she seemed a bit shy at first but overcame that when she saw the sand pit – what is it with sandpits and kids??
Anyway, it takes about 2 weeks for the papers to get processed and we’ve got to book it monthly so we’re looking for morning half of the day, every Friday. KR officially starts daycare in September – seem so long time more, poor thing will be bugging us till then I guess. *sigh*
