It never ceases to amaze me what it is about dirt that appeals to kids so much. We went to the park recently so the kids could run amok at the playground. While the girls enjoyed themselves with the swings and slides (mainly the swings – they hogged it, shameful!!), Brandon has his own ideas all ready to be executed.
None of the playthings at the playground interested him. He only had ONE thing on his mind – DIRT. Mind you, I had them all dresed up in what I had sewn for them – Brandon’s top was fresh off the sewing machine and how my heartached!!!

I think I should get down and have a close look….

Aaahh……these are what little boys are made of. I cannot describe the feelings had going on as I watched this little boy literally coat himself in dirt. Omg – I’m a mild clean freak and this was totally pushing me off the edge but at the same time I did not want to rob him of the pure joy he was obviously experiencing. Lord give me the patience and strength!!!!
