I feel so bad for “neglecting” poor Brandon. Little man hardly ever gets his photos taken…
So here’s the latest 2 that I’ve taken when he turned 4.5 months.
I love watching him play with his fingers. He seems to be making sure he has all 10 digits and is constantly counting them to ensure they don’t suddenly disappear. It’s just so cute to see him do this and when he is engrossed in doing this, he can quietly be by himself for 20min easily!! He’s also recently found his toes so that keeps him busy for a bit when he’s in the cot and he’s gotten himself unwrapped after waking from a nap. Don’t you just love listening to them gurgle and talking to themselves? I love it!
Unlike the girls, he has been very upset about being in the rocker earlier so we have no choice but to put him in this like car-walker thingy we got for Arianna. I don’t remember putting her in here this early but when Brandon can launch himself OFF the rocker and rock himself, I think it’s about time to move him out of it. He seems quite happy to be in here and since he is still not that balanced, I put a towel in front of his chest so that he doesn’t press against the steering wheel and he is pushed to the back a bit.
And I think it’s because of this car that he is now able to stand up with assistance if you hold him up under the arms. I am quite surprised at this too but I guess every baby is different.
While he has not rolled over by himself, I rather he roll over late and start walking early than to roll over early and start walking late like KR. She gave us so much stress when she refused to walk. I will never forget 14/1/2011….it was the day she finally walked!!!
On another note, I tried him with Farex Rice cereal yesterday. Again something that I waited till the girls were 6 months before trying but with him, I noticed that he was feeding too often too quickly which lead me to think that he needed something more solid. So last night we tried it and I couldn’t feed him fast enough and he threw such a tantrum, I coulnd’t believe it! He finished a whole teaspoon of rice cereal and the best bit of it all was that he indeed did sleep through the night from 9.30pm to 5am. That stretch speaks for itself coz normally he’ll sleep from 9.30pm to 2-3am and then from then on he will wake up for a feed every 2 hours.
Hence I will give him solids again tonight and see how it goes.
Brandon is now 5 months 1 week and weighed 8.03kg at his 4 months jabs.

Who’s the big boy now? Brandon is such a darling… your observation of him counting fingers and toes is just so funny. I always love to see pics of your kids, they’re just so cute. And hey, solids? Haha… bet you’re thrilled by a good night’s sleep. I know we got panicky with ours because it was quite unlike him!
Just thought of an idea. Since you and Ted are busy maybe you can hand a camera to Arianna?
